I think the Beatles were lucky to be first quite honestly. Bands that came after such as the Kinks had a much better sound and were unlucky not to get there first.

i think that the shins are an excelent band but could be so much better if they just elaborated on some of the more psychedelic aspects of their sound, and just elaborated in general.
