Classic example of what the movie "The Five Heartbeats" devoted a whole scene to. Black artists with ALL of the talent, not being able to be on the covers of their own records, because white people could only stand hearing the music, and not being reminded that the person singing their favorite song was someone they also hated because they were BLACK and had more talent than them, or any other white person they knew.
