Vladis Show
POST: By Nancy Heins-Glaser. Today while watching KPBS Best Performances on this beautiful day, I just heard "Greenfields" by Brothers Four and had to research the writers on google. Well, since it was just around the corner (even if it was behind me) I remember the words like it was yesterday; the words crafted a painting - not just a feeling or fleeting moment. Evocative of the sounds of an era just about to unfold at a time in folk music history, I hope these amazing songs are not lost on the kids of today. Techno pulsations which give me a headache are all the rage. Will you "youngstas" ever know this amazing music your parents loved way back when they were "yutes?"
