One of my favorite Allman Brothers came from one of their roadies; i think his name was Mike Callahan. He said that the band was on the road so much in 1970-1971 that everyone was tired all the time. There were "remedies" for the fatigue, but sometimes you just had to get a nap. Callahan said that during shows some of the roadies would lay down behind the wall of Marshall amps and crash. He said he would be sound asleep during a show, and then "he would wake up and them son of a bitches (amps) would be booming."
