In the song "outlaws" of this album there is a line "we destroyed suburbia" which is all of what the American idiot album was about. Also, the song "YoungBlood" was actually part of the cigarettes and valentines album, which was the first attempt at American idiot. So I think that "whatsername" (the girl billie puts the entire story around American idiot) is the same girl in the revolution radio album.

This isn’t right. I can’t be the only one who remembers this song differently. I was listening to this song today and I sounded completely different. Please somebody tell me that they remember this song being completely different. I’ve been listening to this song for over a year and I remember it being completely different yesterday. Then I listened to it today and it sounded like this. Which is DIFFERENT. MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY THINK IM CRAZY. PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ME THEY REMEMBER THIS SONG BEING DIFFERENT CAUSE I SWEAR IM NOT CRAZY

I remember when this album first got announced I was literally freaking out because it seemed so good. Here I am 1 year later still as excited about it.
