This song reminds me so much of the movie Inception. In particular, it calls to mind the scenes of the world Dom and Mal created together. The scenes of the buildings slowly collapsing into the sea with no sound but wind blowing.... such a haunting scene and also song.

I always saw the lyrics as someone speaking to themselves, I would listen to this song often when I was depressed, the whispers and mumbling in the background remind me of myself walking alone through crowded hallways in highschool, I felt so alienated...everything was shit to me...I hated myself.

The piano in the background reminds me of the lyric "Such a rush" in the song "Such A Rush"
