I heard Tea for the Tiller Man album for the first time in 1970. I was in 1st form in high school and my music teacher was this gorgeous hippy. I can’t remember her name, but she would have only been about 22. We were all about 13. It was an all boys school and I’m sure we were all in love with her. Our music lesson for the whole year was listen and singing to every song on this album. I still know every word of every song and still play this album at least once a week. She changed my appreciation of music and educated all of us in her class. She also played, Beatles, Doors, LED Zeppelin, Rolling Stones and many more. What an awesome teacher

A very fair criticism of modern life. I agree 100%. But why go medieval and convert to Islam? The past (and have no doubt. orthodox Islam is the past) has NO solutions to contemporary problems!

This guy was so different than anyone else. This album was perfect, every song wonderful. It was such a shock when he packed up and left it all to discover his roots. A man of honest emotions, it really was just what someone like him would do but it sure was lousy loosing him. We will always have these great songs anyway!

I didn’t like that he changed islam, but that’s his business.... I loved his unique voice and his lovely songs. This one I started to sob because it brought back 100000000 memories. I long for the 70s back again. Such great times.Poor poor kids these days. They haven’t a clue what real music is about. So sad.
