Australian Country is much better than the junk they play on the radio here in the States.

For kwil3400: I had many hours with my Friend (Culburra NSW), with many discussions about early Australian and American country (more blue grass for the US). I learnt much from him, and I saw the same sort of information in the later released Country Music in Australia volumes by the late Eric Watson.

Mr. Williams is Real country music like Hank Williams Sr. I will not listen to the New "country" .

I have the three CD set of 78 re-released that EMI completed around 10 years ago, would be nice to see the other half one day.

Good stuff, Buddy was great, I knew an old Gent who stated that Buddy, in his busking days, could clear the nearby theaters at intermission and patrons would stay to listen and not return to the theater. Loved to have seen that.

I used to love his closing comment at his shows..... "If you see someone without a smile --- give them one of yours" Great memories
