Cale would be one of the few people who knew pablo picasso song back in the 80s by jonathon richman modern lovers, as he produced/recorded it with them about 15 years earlier. It makes complete sense for him to cover this song. he always changing his live shows. I saw him a couple years before this (1982) and he was solo with his piano..amazing dude live...and hes still doing it
